Service Technician – Kennesaw, Georgia

Window World is the largest window replacement company in the United States. We are a family owned and operated business that generates over $63 Million dollars a year in sales. Service Technicians are responsible for completing warranty and service work while providing the customer with an exceptional service experience. In the remodeling industry we see far more variables than in any other facet of construction. You must be able to adapt and properly address these variables in an acceptable and timely fashion. We facilitate around 20-35 jobs a day. As a Service Technician you will be conducting repairs and warranty work in customers homes. This means you will spend a good deal of time in the field to see your projects get completed properly. Remodeling is a very competitive market. We will need you to build foundational relationships based on trust, actively listen, and find ways to manage a team to complete projects successfully. Job Purpose: Service Technicians travel to our customers’ homes or businesses to perform product repairs and warranty work. The service technician’s responsibilities include traveling to customers’ locations, assessing issues and problem solving, performing repairs, and performing routine warranty maintenance. The service technician will install and test products and provide customers with instructions on the proper usage of the product.

Duties:

  • Answering telephone calls related to assisting customers
  • Installing and repairing products, and providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of their product
  • Facilitate and manage the customers service and warranty experience to ensure exceptional results
  • Complete all repair and warranty appointments with efficiency and quality
  • Fixing defective or broken products and submitting orders to replace faulty or worn-out parts.
  • Communicate with the customer regarding their service work and being available for questions and concerns
  • Work with a team of production professionals to ensure all jobs are completed successfully; communicate with team members throughout all parts of the installation process
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in a professional and timely manner

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent technical and mechanical skills
  • Experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools, and you should be physically fit to lift heavy equipment
  • Must be able to use personal protective equipment, having ability to stand or walk, occasionally bending, squatting, climbing stairs and lifting up to 150 pounds.
  • The ability to work independently; self-motivated to get results
  • Managing overtime on service calls with patience and not rushing the job
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Preferred ability to service windows and doors
  • Elevated problem solving ability
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Pass drug and background test
  • Enjoys working with clients and tradesmen
  • Effectively schedules ahead while maintaining flexibility

Accordingly, this role is the key factor in converting sales leads into contracts.
